Plastream has been tested in accordance with the following international test methods included within the German pipe standard DIN 16961 and the draft European standard prEN 13476. These product standards specify the performance tests applicable to non pressure pipes as well as the required properties of the material used to produce the pipe. Plastream complies with all of the performance criteria described in the following test methods.
Plastream has been tested in accordance with the following:
- EN 1979 Determination of the tensile strength of a seam
- EN 744 Test method for resistance to external blows by the round the clock method
- EN 1446 Determination of ring flexibility
- ASTM F2136 Notched constant ligament stress test (NCLS) to determine slow crack growth resistance
- ASTM D1693 Standard test method for environmental stress-cracking of polyethylene plastics
- Environmental exposure
- ASTM F2562 / F2562M-07 Plastream pipe standard, Plastream has achieved its own ASTM standard titled: Specifications for Steel Reinforced Thermoplastic Ribbed Pipe and Fittings for Non-Pressure Drainage and Sewerage. The standard covers pipes from DN 200 to 3000 and pipe stiffness from 100 kPa to 434 kPa.
